Flowers Round the Hours is the award winning flower shop outside the Melbourne Town Hall and for years it's been saving people's bacon when it comes to those special occasions. Flowers Round the Hours is open 24 hours a day over Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 7am until very, very late the rest of the week. They stay open for such long hours to cater for all those incurable romantics out there.

As owner, John Annert puts it, "love doesn't finish at 5pm when the shops close". John has been selling flowers since 1974 and says the best thing about working in Swanston Street is the variety of people he meets. "Swanston Street, to it's credit, has become better over the last few years, so it's not hard to come to work," he said. "We're so happy to be here." And Melbourne is happy to have them, awarding Flowers Round the Hours with The John Truscott Award late last year.

The team at Flowers Round the Hours is known around the city for their friendliness, dedication and knowledge.  There's Kerry, the Manager who cheerfully tackles 4am starts at the flower market and Peter, former tram conductor and one of Melbourne City's most famous characters,  as well as Bill and Basil who complete the team.
